Making sense of party wall surveying

Project Overview

In a city as densely populated as London, it’s unsurprising that the surveying industry is equally competitive. Mark from Cubit Party Wall Surveyors came to me with an exciting challenge: can you help set me apart from the competition.

If you’ve ever been involved in a party wall dispute, you’ll know what a headache it can be. I worked together with Cubit to develop a brand identity that complimented their transparent approach to party wall.

Brand Development

After developing a range of visual concepts for the brand’s logo, the idea that was decided upon uses the letter C, with a simple illustration of two houses side by side in the negative space of the letter. What resulted was a logo that feels established, trusted and embodies Cubit’s vision for simple and clear communication for all parties involved in the party wall process.

The house illustration is replicated throughout the brand identity, across icon design and as a wider visual style to contain brand photography.

“Sam was helpful and knowledgeable during all stages of the design process. The brand was developed in a considered and logical approach…I am very pleased with the result!”

Website Design and Development

The clear objective of the website was to provide clear and concise information that guides and empowers customers to understand the party wall process. Time was dedicated to creating a website structure that allowed users to get to grips with the process from both the perspective of the building owner and adjoining owner - the two key members of the party wall process.

A frequently asked questions page and blog were created to complement this as well as provide valuable information for search engine optimisation.
